Sterling Realty Organization (SRO) is proud to announce that Symetra Center was named winner of the Redevelopment/Renovation of the Year award at NAIOP Washington’s recent 2025 Night of the Stars Gala and Awards Ceremony. Celebrating Symetra Center’s outstanding design quality, market success, and distinctive project vision, the NAIOP judging panel evaluated the project based on its concept and design, tenant benefits, amenities, achievement of development goals, sustainability, degree of difficulty, and innovation—all areas where Symetra Center stood out as a best-in-class example of thoughtful redevelopment.
SRO’s recent $40 million reimagining of Symetra Center focused on transforming the legacy tower into one of Bellevue’s premier Class-A office destinations. Despite pandemic-era challenges, a hospitality-inspired workplace was delivered featuring standout amenities, a fully electric infrastructure, and creative material reuse—including a beloved oak tree reborn as art. With 92,000 square feet in new and renewed leases and the addition of popular placemaking eatery Café Hagen, Symetra Center has set a new regional standard for success in sustainable workplace design.
This achievement would not have been possible without SRO’s exceptional project partners and talented team. We extend our sincere thanks for their collaboration and expertise in bringing this vision to life.
