Scott Osborne is Of Counsel to Foster Garvey, PC, in its Seattle office. Before joining Foster Garvey, he practiced law as a partner in three other Seattle firms: K&L Gates LLP, Graham & Dunn PC and Ferguson & Burdell. In addition, Scott is an Adjunct Instructor in the Real Estate Department (part of the College of Built Environments) at the University of Washington, where he teaches real estate law to graduate students pursuing a Master of Science in Real Estate. He has also been a lecturer at the University of Washington Law School, teaching real estate mortgage law. He was the chair of the Real Property and Trust Section of the Washington State Bar Association and served on the Limited Practice Board, which supervises limited practice officers acting as escrow agents in Washington. He is a member of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers, the Pacific Real Estate Institute and the Real Property-Transactions Subcommittee, American Bar Association (Chair of the insurance subcommittee (2009-11). He is the author of numerous papers used in continuing legal education seminars and in various law journals and is a frequent speaker at continuing legal education events.
Scott is a graduate of Yale University (cum laude, 1971 BA economics) and the University of Washington, School of Law (1975 JD, member of Order of the Coif).
