Chris Hunt, Chief Engineer, joined SRO in 2005. Prior to SRO he retired from the US Navy as a Chief Petty Officer. Chris has served tenants across our portfolio and is currently in-charge of engineering at our Factoria properties. We asked Chris for his thoughts on SRO.
Q: What has been your most meaningful memory from your time at SRO?
A: I have a lot of meaningful memories here at SRO, what sticks out is the mentoring and guidance I have received from Jason Horning, Mike Lancaster and Will Daniels who have helped me get where I am today.
Q: What has changed over your years at SRO? What has stayed the same?
A: What has most changed for me is my growth and role in the company. What I see that hasn’t changed is SRO’s commitment to its Tenants and Employees.
Q: If you had to be stuck in an elevator with any three people, who would they be and why?
A: My Wife Yvette who is my rock in my life and without her at my side these last 31 years and has helped me with patience, which I have none. Rick my best friend, between the two of us there is nothing we could not fix, even the broken elevator. And my brother-in-law Rob, who would keep us laughing.
Q: What did you think your future career would be as a child?
A: At a very early age I wanted to be a Jet mechanic, joining the Navy accomplished this, though I became an aviation electrician not a mechanic.
Q: What is your favorite book or movie and why?
A: Favorite book would be The STAND, by Steven King, because good overcomes evil. My favorite movie would be a toss-up between Outlaw Jose Wales and Quigley Down Under, because I always wanted to shoot as well as they portrayed.
